Hi, I'm Nancy. My husband and I own and manage our coffee farm in Kona, a seed to cup operation. I started roasting with a small home roaster almost ten years ago. I've been roasting on a Diedrich IR 3 since 2008. Our Internet roasted business is growing and we plan on adding an IR 12 in the next couple years. Found these forums a few weeks ago while researching a used IR 7 that was for sale here locally. Since then I've reading almost everyday, mostly b2b and roasting forums.
Hello everyone, my name is Willis, and I cannot believe that this username was not taken. I am from Northeast North Carolina. I am almost 18, and aspire to be an engineer in the aerospace field. I found this site because no one my age in my small town appreciates or drinks coffee, so I have no one to discuss it with. Without my coffee, I do not know how I would function in the mornings. It has changed my life, seriously. I used to be such a drag to be around in the morning, but now I am energetic and happy to be awake!
I'm glad you found the perfect user name for the Coffee Forums website!
I have to admit, sometimes the strange user names that some people come up with are a bit annoying. I'm very glad you were able to use your real name and keep it plain and simple!
You'll soon discover that there are a lot of people on this Coffee Forum website who are close to your age, and many are from all over the globe. You'll meet a lot of interesting people here, and you'll learn a lot about the "World of Coffee."
Thanks for joining us. We hope you'll visit often.

Hello all!
My name is Drew and I've been lurking as a guest on the forums and figured I'd go ahead and join the chaos! Just wanted to extend a thanks to everyone who has contributed with their experiences and shared their roasting knowledge. I'm an aspiring roaster looking to get my feet on the ground in central FL, and I have learned so much already just by reading through the forums.
We have several members located in Florida. I'm not sure exactly where they're located, but as you explore and participate in the Coffee Forum, you'll eventually find out who they are and where they are.
We have a lot of useful information here. Feel free to ask questions and participate in the discussions when you're ready.
