I like the selection that they have as there are many participating partners that comes out with a variety selection of coffee flavours different roasts. Hi all --
Newbie here. I've been reading the forum for a few weeks now - finally decided to join and participate in conversations. I've read through this thread and have come to the obvious conclusion that there are countless options for purchasing coffee beans on-line (per the original question).

So my follow-on question would be, what is the best way to CHOOSE from these options? Is the best way just trial an error? Read opinions from experienced folks like you all on forums? Or are there sampling options or incentives that these on-line places offer to introduce and convince buyers of the superiority of their product?

There are so many places that sell coffee on-line, and it makes if very difficult to know which one to choose. It's wonderful that you found this Coffee Forum. There are a lot of members who have experience buying and selling coffee on-line, and I'm sure you will get a lot of response to your question.

I prefer to purchase my coffee from a local coffee roaster in my area. Do you have a roaster near you? It's the best way to buy your coffee.

Yes we have a few local roasters in the immediate vicinity and a handful about a hour West of my location.

I've been considering and researching the pros and cons of roasting my own, buying from local roasters, and finding a quality on-line wholesaler. My main concern with on-line is purchasing something before sampling the product as well as the freshness of the product. My main concern with local roasters is price point. And my main concern/fear with roasting my own is adding a whole new dimension to this endeavor--knowledge required, additional machinery, more daily time requirements.

So I appreciate the advice of focusing on the local roasting options. From what I've gathered if I want the freshest product (and I do) staying with local roasters will be my best bet -- hopefully I can afford it (still figuring out all the numbers).
