Where can I buy good coffee online?

If you like dark, dark (but flavorful) french roasts, I can recommend very highly "Two Stroke Smoke" from Pablos Coffee in Denver. Danger Monkey is another French Roast, slightly lighter.

My biggest gripe against Pablos and the 75+% of other on-line roasters is that they only ship in the US or North America. So let's say you live in Denmark and are sick and tired of the hard burnt northern European coffee, where do you shop on line? The answer is, there are practically no European on-line sellers of quality coffee. Peete's and Starbuck's have the EU market pretty much to themselves. My other pet peeve is that a number of on-line roasters in the US who do sell overseas have lousy software that doesn't work. I encountered two, today, that let me put in my country and then required me to enter a 5-digit zip code. Another seller's page, just defaulted to the ozone whenever you clicked on a foreign country.

Are these companies really businesses, or just environmentally sound, human rights friendly hobbies?

In my opinion I offer the best quality coffee. This coffee comes from the company that started fair trade coffee. It continues to help small groups of coffee farmers around the world by buying their coffee at a fair trade price around the world. They help these farmers by added free education to their children. They have even named some of their types of coffee after the place where they get their coffee.
This company is the LavAzza coffee company. I offer it by the case, but if you want to try just one bag, I will sell to you, but I must charge you an added $7.50 drop ship fee. These coffees can be found at Coffee Makers Shop.

There are over a hundred different coffee companies online. Each offers different groups of coffee from either their country or from different coffee companies that are not common here in the U.S. I offer one that comes from a fair trade company that offers coffee from all over the world. If you would like to learn more about these coffees that are very popular with my customers. You will find LavAzza coffee at Coffee Makers Shop.
