Issue with Saeco Granbaristo Avanti Super-automatic HD8967

Backgroup: So the machine is not mine but belongs to a family memember.
It seems he never cleaned in for about 1 yr.
I have removed all the parts and cleaned the inside, brew group, descaled, lubed

What works:
It is grinding coffee
It is brewing coffee

What does not:
The brew group is not dumping grinds into the grind bucket after brew (thought it sounds like it is trying)
It the grind is watery

Anyone have suggestions?

I am having the same issue as this person notes below. Any suggestion to resolve?
