I would suggest lowering the charge weight... down to say 400 and see if you have issues. It's rated at a pound which is 454 grams. Most people suggest roasting at 80% capacity... = 400 grams.

So do you worry about air flow? my coffee is not smokey so wondering if I am over thinking air ?

Not overly.. but the fact you have NO airflow means there is a potential for blockage = fire hazard. Chances are slim but I would look into it - doesn't seem right.
