Green Decaf Beans Get Stuck in Roaster Chute - Silly Beans Don't Want to Slide

Working on a lovely SF-1 sample roaster. We have some Peruvian SWP Decaf that likes to get stuck in the chute. Beans don't slide much at all and get chocked up in the chute before entering the roast chamber. Seeking similar experiences & advice. We have 300+ lbs. to roast and each one causes cursing and expletives.

I knew someone that had this problem on an older probat. Their solution was to keep a rubber mallet by the roaster. Couple of whacks and no stuck beans. 300 lbs on a sample roaster? I do not envy you

This happens to me every time as well! I just tap the hopper a little and it usually does the trick. However, I don't do 300lbs at a time of DeCaf! Good luck with that!
