Can some expert tell me what is the differences between Weasel and Civet cat?

As far as I know, the Civet is a different [cat] species than a weasel. Of course, Civet Coffee sellers (like myself, hehe) could just be saying that tot make the sales pitch easier to swallow (pun intended!).
