Hi,

Im planing to open a small bistro/cafe - our shop is around 1000 sf.
Is the breville barista express BREBES870XL can do the job ?
We r planing to sell 20-30 cups of coffee per hours (busy hours).

Thanks you in advance.

No... that is a home machine. You need to step up to a commercial dual boiler machine... single or dual head. I would suggest calling one of the bigger resellers - Espresso Parts, 1st Line, Chris Coffee, etc.

Or HX (heat exchange) commercial quality machine. Get something that can be left ON all day, is plumbed in and can recover for back/back drinks. A decent barista could use a one group machine and make it happen, but a 2 group would be more desirable if you have the space, budget, etc. It's better to have more machine than you need on average when demand picks up. Also keep in mind you need a somewhat fast grinder. Something that can grind 16 grams in 8 seconds or less. Of course speed means nothing if the barista can't keep pace with the equipment.

I know a guy that ran a small coffeeshop and did quite well with demand with a 1 group Appia... I'm sure there are other offerings that may be cheaper, but Nuova Simonelli does make good solid equipment based on my experience.
