I looked at that roaster. First it is a huge roaster with a special firebox. The temps in that firebox are so high that it will not be creating any creosote. Any "flavoring" that it imparts to the beans would be minimal due to such.

Well its been a few months since I started wood fire roasting and it's been a huge success. I have added the coffee to our farmers market offerings and sellout every time which is a good indicator that the summer will be even better since winter markets are slow. the comment's that I get are the coffee is smooth and flavorful with a slight smoky finish.
