Who loves to drink coffee liqueur?

I added a full liquor bar to a cafe I roasted for years ago. Granted it was in a casino but it still worked out great. We were doing between 4 and 5 k when I left. Our record day in that coffee shop was $15k! You couldn't get a rum and coke...it had to be all coffee based drinks. I was surprised it did so well since they could get booze for free on the casino floor.

My friend and I tried out some homemade coffee liqueur recipes before... Tasted pretty good! I've never tried Kahlua or Tia Maria before though.

Historical documents are silent about who first came up with the idea to mix strong alcohol and coffee. But this idea, without any doubt, was brilliant. After all, the main components seem to be made for each other. Many people like coffee for its delicious smell. But distillates have aroma - not for everybody. Strong and delicate, this awakening bouquet of espresso combined with sweet alcohol creates a coffee liqueur.
