One reason Germany is in the mix is because they are like New Jersey in this country coffee is held in warehouses and then distributed to the rest of Europe. It resembles New Jerseys Coffee Holdings which stores coffee for many many importers so that shipments can be combined thereby cutting down on shipping costs for green buyers. Germany also is the leading producer of decaf coffee so it comes in, is processed and then reexported.
