Latte is my Favorite. Blockhouse Coffee & Kitchen serves one of the delicious and tasty coffee in Katy.

I use a variety of coffees, depending on how I feel at the moment. But I almost always do a pour over, like a Hario V60 type pour over.

I just recently started grinding a couple of clicks finer. Nice. Really nice.

2 and a half large cups of that, starting every morning. 30 oz of water against 50 g of beans. Which works out to 17 to 1.

Every now and then I will do a drip machine instead of the pour over. Still a measured 30 oz of water. (I ignore the graduations on the reservoir of the machine.) And 50 g of coffee. It tastes the same but is sometimes a little easier to do in the morning.

Cascara is not a coffee, it's technically a fruit herbal tea.

I like several different types of coffee, I don't have a favorite, just depends on my mood when I wake up.

At home I have dropped the AeroPress, and the French Press, which are basically the same thing, but they are not espresso makers like AeroPress tries to convince people that theirs is. And I dropped the standard pour-over because the brew was too weak for my taste. So those brewers are now stored away.

I now do the Hario Switch V60, which is a pour-over mixed with an immersion brewer, and it makes the coffee much better than just the pour-over by itself.

I also like the Bialetti Brikka Moka pot, it makes a much better, and more consistent espresso than a standard Moka pot.

I also like making Turkish coffee, this is a very robust coffee, much more so than espresso.

I also make cold brew which makes a wonderfully smooth cup of coffee that is stronger in caffeine than either espresso or Turkish coffee 4 4-ounce cup of cold brew is like drinking 12 ounces of coffee.

Now when I go camping on my bicycle, I take the GSI Ultralight Drip maker which makes pour-over coffee, not as strong as my preferred methods when at home, but it's fine for camping since all the other methods I like to take up too much space in the panniers, and weigh quite a bit more. I like the pour-over way better than instant, even tried instant espresso...yuk! A lot of backpackers and bike campers like the instant crap, not me.
