Starbucks - why the hype?

one thing that may be the problem...is that eggnog gets hot a little faster than regular milk...so it may have gotten scalded.

i find it easier to make eggnog and gingerbread lattes using torani's flavors. its a lot easier to keep around than real eggnog...and you avoid the oversteaming problem, too...plus..any leftover after the season dies down doesn't spoil nearly as fast as the milk-based nog.
