I buy my Beans in 1kg bags (usually a 250g of something different at the same time)

I put 250g of beans in an airtight coffee tin .. and that is my 'in use' beans
The rest I leave in the bag, roll down the bag to exclude air, then add a wide neck bag clip to keep it closed.

Just wondered if I could do better ... some options come to mind
  1. Put Beans in the freezer in an airtight freezer bag
  2. Put beans in the refrigerator in an airtight bag
  3. Put beans in the refrigerator in a tupperware box

What do you guys do ?

Sweet Maria’s sells Ecotact bags in several sizes. These ziplock-seal bags are thicker than standard ziplock bags and include layered materials that create a strong barrier against air, one of the primary enemies of coffee freshness. I have quite a few of these bags in assorted sizes, which I use to store my green coffee beans. Light and humidity are two additional factors that can degrade coffee quality, so keeping the Ecotact bags in an enclosed cabinet within a climate-controlled room further helps preserve freshness. Placing roasted coffee in a refrigerator is a huge no-no. Bag or not, the moisture will degrade the beans.

You are already doing the right thing. Room-temperature storage in an airtight container for your in use beans is ideal, and keeping the rest sealed in the original bag is fine for short term storage. The only real upgrade is freezing the extra beans in airtight portions and only opening them once they are fully back to room temp. I would avoid the fridge altogether moisture and odors tend to do more harm than good.
