Hey all,
I am a specialty coffee roaster located in Kunming, China. I work for Hani Coffee Co. We are beginning to explore our options for doing a decaf roast, but are trying to limit our expenses. There are no decaf processing centers in China so we would be looking at some major expenses. Our plan/hope was to begin decaffeinating our coffee ourselves and test the market with it. I have read a lot of articles and am well-studied on all the processes. The one thing I can't figure out is how you can test the caffeine content of a green bean. Any one have any ideas?
