How to measure caffeine content of coffee?

Hey all,

I am a specialty coffee roaster located in Kunming, China. I work for Hani Coffee Co. We are beginning to explore our options for doing a decaf roast, but are trying to limit our expenses. There are no decaf processing centers in China so we would be looking at some major expenses. Our plan/hope was to begin decaffeinating our coffee ourselves and test the market with it. I have read a lot of articles and am well-studied on all the processes. The one thing I can't figure out is how you can test the caffeine content of a green bean. Any one have any ideas?

You may have to roast the beans and brew some coffee in order to test the caffeine content. There are test strips that people use to see whether or not they're actually getting decaf coffee. Here are a couple of web sites to explore:
