How much sugar do you take in a cup of coffee?

I didn't drink coffee, but whenever I make a coffee for my father, I'm putting 2 tbsp of sugar, but sometimes, my father is adding 1 tbsp. I think, it is too sweet and I don't like its taste.

Did you mean to write 2 teaspoons instead of tablespoons? If he ends up with a total of 3 tablespoons of sugar in his coffee, all he will taste is the sugar and not coffee.

When I first started drinking coffee I loaded it down with a whole lot of sugar, but I eventually started using less and less now I don't even care for coffee with sugar in it.
I'm not a big fan of hot tea, but I do like cold tea and I don't mind if it's sweetened or not. I'll drink it either way.

No sugar at all. A little half/half sometimes, but properly sourced and brewed coffee should be sweet enough on its own. If your coffee is bitter is is either burnt, run through a paper filter, of poor quality or the proportions are off.
