As a fly on the wall I just want to say thank you to everyone for this helpful information. I guess I should chip in with my two cents... As a new blogger I've learned that content is the KEY. You have to write good, helpful posts at the beginning. If you are writing something that is 1000 words that probably wont cut it. I'm not saying it wont work but as a new blogger you are going to have a hard time with ranking on search engines with small posts. If you look up the SERP on any topic around coffee the first page is always filled with articles of at least 2000 words or more. When you're done that I suggest making a Pinterest and FB page. Utilize Tailwind to post on both platforms simultaneously to get eyes on your blog posts. Its a long process and but it does work and its free. Also avoid paying for Keyword search tools when you first start out. they are great but you should focus on content if you are blogging. The only keyword search tool you need is the google search bar auto fill in and suggested searches section. If you look at my blog FreshCoffeeHouse you see about 30 posts I've written over the last month which are seeing traffic. I don't have any blogging experience, any keyword search tool, or any idea of what SEO is. I am learning as I go along. I hope this gave you an idea of how to get traffic to your blog for free. its not easy buy then nothing worth doing ever is. At the very least I hope i gave you some ideas for what blog post tiles work and what you could write about.
This is good advice. For suggestion one, can you be more specific on how to find low competitor keywords?
