Has anyone ever had coffee soup?

Pink Rose...just realized an app I downloaded cuts off the first half of the news feed so you have to scroll up... lol

Hi Kais01,

Is there a way that you can adjust the settings on your phone to stop adding Sent from my GT-N5110 using Tapatalk to the end of your posts?

I know several other members had the same problem but they fixed it. It kinda looks like a SPAM advertisement.

Okay, so we were talking about coffee soup (the original post of this thread). I haven't heard about coffee soup before. Though, its recipe reminded me of similar thing which I used to have earlier when I was a kid.

I used to take a bread slice, apply some butter on it, dip the whole slice into a cup of coffee (sugar added) and before the slice becomes soft and fall I used to take a juicy bite from it... By the way, though the post is old I wouldn't let the chance to appreciate Namballe for sharing his childhood's recipe go away. I'll try coffee soup for sure. Thanks!

This sounds like a hand-held version of coffee soup. It's a bit more messy, but it's the same idea. Thanks for sharing it too.

Yeah PinkRose, I guess it was messy. But hey, I didn't mention that I used to pour the slice into the coffee "only after folding the slice" so that the butter don't get dissolved in my coffee. May be that's why you thought it was more messy, didn't you? Anyways, I remember more things which my mother used to make for me but since it is not related to coffee I should better skip it.

Thanks SaigonCafe, you should definitely try coffee soup which Namballe has shared, I'll too try it someday for sure.

Oh yes PinkRose, I have read that thread. It never crossed my mind to add butter into my coffee before. Actually, I assume that it is a cup of coffee which I make it using full-cream milk, i.e. not skimmed, so it means it already has some oil in it. I'm not sure how it would taste like after adding salty butter to it, separately. Perhaps, I should try it someday.
