Hello coffee community! I recently bought a used Ambex Ym-10 and it came with no manual or the roasting profile tech. So a few basic questions for my friends. 1 does anyone use an ambex without the tech that could tell me what to do with the digital reading? 2 what drop temp do you usually go for? 3 what is your basic usage of the manual flame control 4. Any pictures that show the venting set up with external chaff collector to make sure it's set up right?

I roast with a very similar machine. Most of the questions you are asking are basic roasting questions and you will get many answers on these.

The digital reading os most likely the temp
Drop temp will very on the profile your going for
Fame control adjust heat

here is the chaff collector installed on a US Roaster machine, hooks up the same.

And her is paul Ribich's info - He works with the profiling software on most ambex roasters
Start with amer He could probably get you a manual

as far as profiling just research all you can on the big no nos ( tipping scorching baking ) then read all the conflicting advise and choose one taste and try again
