Hello, coffee comrades!
My first coffee love happened at Torrefazione (prior to Starbucks) in Northwest Portland in the early 90's. The whole cafe was open to the bustle of the city on a spring morning and I had three shots of the most creamy espresso, with subtle hints of caramel, served in the most delicate and vibrant porcelain cups. I love the ritual of coffee and the way it brings people together - from family to strangers, communities & even across languages.
For the next decade (plus) my prose and stories were best fueled from the french press. And about six years ago, I joined Raven's Brew Coffee (a wholesale specialty coffee roaster born in Alaska) and began to peak through the vast windows into the coffee world, of which I had no clue were so infinite...
Now I deem myself "many ravens" of this great little company and thought I should check out the buzz in here! Cheers!
