Why should you not use a high speed grinder for coffee?

I heard a few things. They could heat up the coffee effecting taste or they aren't good for a consistent grain size if you are doing a medium grind. Would they then be fine for a fine grind size?

Have people been able to taste the difference?

Thanks,
blake

All electric grinders heat/scorch the beans as they reduce the particle size of a bean.
Hand grinders do not.
So, it's best to find a burr grinder that suits your purposes and budget, or go with a hand grinder.
Until I decide to bring my roller to market that is..........

High speed grinders ? I thought high speed grinders were water cooled anyhow ?

If you are talking about the home ? Is there such a thing ?

How big is your roller ? Does it take up the whole kitchen counter ? ....which means you can set it up and use it once before taking a serious beating.

I think so much heat is bad for the the coffee making... And i personally feel that heat should be used just to boil water or milk in which you are planning to make coffee... Once you have mixed coffee bean, heat should not be provided there.
