What roasting workshop/class do you recommend?

I'm hoping to get feedback on what workshop/class anyone could recommend I take to learn how to roast coffee. I've been a home roaster for years and now my sister wants me to roast for her coffee shop. I have a new 10k roaster that's up and running. My first few seasoning batches went well. I'm happy with the roaster but I really have a ton to learn about the entire process. I'm looking to get feedback about real workshop experiences good or bad. I found several classes online. I just don't know which one I should take. And while I don't mind paying good money for a good class, I'd hate to pay good money for a crappy one.

Coffee roasters are not alI the same and do not have the same roasting principles. You can take a class and they will have you roast on a roaster different from yours. Roasting on an Ambex is different than a U.S. Roaster, pro at and others. Robert Hoos wrote a book that is an excellent guide to roasting and it costs 30.00. You can chat with roasters here to get some great info. I personally think these classes are a hype and they are way overpriced for what you get. There are some threads here that argue the best way to roast by adjusting the gas during the roast or leave it and forget it and use air flow to adjust the temp. You can find many variations here for free and all it will cost you is some beans. Want to go high tech and have an extra 800.00 to spend? By a VST refractometer. Not every bean roasts the same so a lot of experimenting on your part is needed. Profiling system or taking notes. If you opt to purchase a profiling system you will need training. Paul Ribich located in Florida has in my opinion the best program in the industry and also the best customer support. You can take a coffe class and walk away with a certificate and a leaner bank account or you can buy several well written books and talk to other roasters and if you happen to find a roaster with the same machine that is even better
