Hi Coffee Forums

I'm new to this forum and I have a Keurig machine, I hope those two properties don't count as strikes against me.

About 2 months ago I made a K-cup order online and I had a free sample 5 pack. I like to try new things so I picked the Green Mountain Double Black Diamond. Wow best coffee decision.

Fast forward to last week and my mom (Love you) bought me a pre-Christmas gift of those re-usable K-cup things. It works so well that I don't really want to buy K-cups anymore.

However I have yet to find a suitable or even similar match in flavor to the Double Black Diamond.

I'm really hoping someone here has tried this flavor and has a suitable replacement that comes bagged in bulk.

Fingers crossed, thanks for reading.

Try some fresh ground high end beans, you will be amazed.
local roasted would be best, try not to buy off of a shelf.

I don't know exactly if this fits what you're looking for, but perhaps a premium Panama Boquete Gesha coffee would suffice? Hand picked in Panama and 100% micro ground too.

Anybody who pre-grinds or offers pre-ground Gesha is either foolish or evil. :x

It's like pouring wine in a styrofoam cup a week before you serve it.

Oh, really! :decaf:

Seems to taste pretty good to me... Haven't had one person tell me otherwise, as of yet anyways.

I'm curious as to why that's no bueno? lol. I'm still learning. :)

A-Rod: That Gesha from Panama has the potential to be one of the best beans on the market. And coffee beans are at their best immediately after grinding. So John is lamenting the idea of someone grinding that high quality of a bean and having it go stale before brewing. Most folks who are into coffee enough to pay that premium for one of the top offerings on the market should have a grinder at their disposal.

Ah, okay, that makes sense. It's made more for the average person to be able to enjoy it. Since most people aren't die hard coffee fans, with all the cool tools, but do love great coffee. Comes in sealed sachets, to preserve the freshness. :)

The only problem with that plan is the fact that average coffee drinkers don't tend to be the folks stepping up and paying the premium price commanded by Gesha beans.

Well, it's not priced like other Gesha beans, that's one of our niches, we make it's extremely affordable.

But I can see that being an issue with other brands/companies.

Hopefully this is okay to post, or we can delete it and I can PM you.

Retail pricing:
For a 12oz bag, $52
Instant black (30 servings), $38 per box
Instant Latte (20), $38 per box
Instant Mocha (15), $44 per box
Green bean weight loss coffee 12oz bag, $69

100% micro ground, nothing is freeze-dried.

We have wholesale pricing too.

You aren't going to find many casual coffee drinkers willing to pay $52 for a 12oz sack of beans. Most casual coffee drinkers will balk at paying over $10 or $12 for a pound of coffee.

Trust me..... People in the market for beans in the above price range know enough about the product to shy away from pre-ground Gesha beans. Freshness is everything with that market segment.

Btw, you might want to start another thread introducing yourself and your products.

My first thought... pre-ground... not even a whole bean option... what a waste.

I find them all the time... :)

We have wholesale and preferred customer pricing too, for those looking for a discounted price. Compared to the $104/lb for the same quality Gesha bean.. the pricing isn't too bad.

For example, wholesale for our Instant Black coffee box... $19.00

Tons of other care and science has gone into the process of making it, we offer more than just another gesha coffee. ;)

I know of this one gentleman, in a competing company, who's coffee isn't quite as high quality and priced a little higher, but has amazing marketing and business skill sets. That individual makes 1.3 million/month...

There are people out there that will buy. 2 billion cups consumed a day... It's all about how you market the product.

I personally look for business builders, who want a turn-key coffee business and want to create a network of coffee drinkers with our affordable premium coffee.

Although I don't frown upon finding more people as customers. :D

There might be a sucker born every day, but I don't believe your claim of having casual coffee drinkers lining up to buy your pre-ground Gesha beans at $65 bucks a pound. I'm sure you are hoping that is how it pans out, and you might even find folks to get in on the pyramid sounding marketing scheme, but I don't believe it will succeed at a retail level for one minute.
