Hi

Can anyone help?
I used to have a stainless steel stove top espresso maker. It was purchased in Spain about twenty years ago. It was a 3-4 cup size. A distinctive feature was the handle, which was black plastic in two halves which left a space down the middle of the handle showing the s/steel underneath. There is no manufacturer's marking on the pot. I have seen a few of these, one was a bigger size. They are well made pots and appeared to be fairly common at one time.
I would really appreciate it if anyone knows the manufacturer, or could offer any more info on these little pots or post a link to a photo.

Many thanks

Are you talking about something like "Imusa Espresso Coffeemaker, 6 cup"

Imusa is a very common latin food cookware manufacturer that can be purchased almost anywhere in a latin community (or online, obviously). I grew up in the 80s using several versions of this pot to make cuban coffee, and in fact have no idea how to use a fancy espresso maker.

Sorry, you're going to have to have to google or do an amazon search, i can't post links yet since i'm new. I found the one i have at home on amazon.

Regards,

Jaclyn

Thanks for the reply Jaclyn, but it's not the one. As I say, there is no manufacturer's name, or indeed any mark on the pot. I looked on Amazon, but the Imusa pot is a copy of the Bialetti Moka Express. I wish I still had my pot, as I could upload a photo. If anyone else has any ideas, please post a reply

Hi Steve,

If you haven't found the Spanish Moka Pot you mentioned, check out the Italian Moka Pots on our site. They're very affordable and very high quality. I actually started the shop after I received one as a gift and was impressed by the look & performance of these handcrafted coffee pots.

We even have new titanium-alloy models that will work on induction stovetops.
