I have 2 of these machines, one is 12 years old (never any issues except water level sensor) and the second one I purchased used 2 years ago, it only had 1100 cups on the counter. My second machine will brew fine when it first flashes up, but if I come back an hour later (it's still hot) it isn't able to pump the coffee and gives me the ventilate message. I've had the brew group apart and cleaned everything I could, and blown everything clean with compressed air. I've had the output tubes assembly out and all is clean there. It doesn't look like the water is leaking out anywhere, it's more like it just can't manage to pump it through. It makes a humming sound that gradually fades, and then it just stops trying to pump, and says "ventilate", but ventilating doesn't fix anything. Some days I won't have any trouble, some days I'll try a small coffee and it'll brew, and then I try a large and it works, but some days I only get the 2 in the morning and then I cannot get it to work until midday after it's cooled down.

Is my pump bad? Is there anything else between the pump and the brew group that can cause this?

Than You
