We have a Probat L12 gas-fired roaster for sale. It was originally manufactured in 1992, and we purchased this unit in 2013. We have recently upgraded to a larger capacity and no longer need this roaster. We have used this roaster for batches from 8-14 kilograms; it’s a great roaster for a growing, small-medium sized company. We are looking for $21,000. Purchaser can pick up or pay for crate/freight from Boston, MA, USA. Interested parties can email pete at barismo.com.
Several systems in the roaster have been replaced and upgraded in the past year. It has a completely new motor, fan, and drive belt. The drive chain for the drum has been upgraded to an industrial machine-grade chain for improved reliability. The gas gauge has been upgraded to a 0-10 in. WC, readable to 0.1 in WC. The exterior paneling was professionally painted last year. Included with the roaster is a U-shaped platform that wraps around it — this makes it possible for a normal height person to load the hopper without needing a ladder, and generally improves usability.
