Is there a wholesale pricing structure for green beans, or is it only a matter of volume? Can a small roaster get any leverage on pricing with importers or brokers?

Thanks,
Freeman

Answer is NOPE. lol .. No leverage here. You need purchase beans from the wholesale company. That is your best bet.

Buying green in bulk is not a bad idea. They can last over a year if you store them properly.
Try "Cafe Imports"

Once you go wholesale there really aren't any discounts until you are buying by the container or semi load or direct from the farmer.

Royal Coffee in Oakland. We generally pay between $2.75 and $4.75 per pound for organic beans from them. (Bags weigh around 130 or 150 lbs.)

60kg is the smallest size they come out with about 150 dollars drop shipping charge up to 600 kg of beans. So you can do your math and see what is the most economical way to purchasing

Kbeans: If you are looking for small quantities in the bay area, Sweet Maria's in Oakland has good beans that you would be able to pick up and save shipping costs..
