just registered today, I'm JRD from England, I'm retired. I was recently in Casablanca and had a espresso coffee in a seaside café and it was without doubt the loveliest tasting coffee I have ever had, (I had 3 extra cups), my question is has anyone any idea what type of coffee it might have been and what type of machine it was that made it, the crema had a deep dark orange colour and tasted like nothing I've tasted before. I have a nespresso machine which uses pods which are good but not like the one I'm referring to. Would appreciate some help please. Thank you, JRD.

Hello JRD,

It's a shame you didn't think to ask the person who served you all four cups of coffee when you were there.

Do you recall the name of the cafe and where it was?

You'll probably never be able to duplicate the experience, but with some detective work you may come close.

But, I sincerely doubt that your Nespresso machine will do it for you.

Hopefully someone on the Forum will be able to offer some suggestions.

Welcome JRD to one of the BEST forums on earth!

Also welcome to retirement... Sounds like you have an excuse to return to Casablanca!

...but until then create some wonderful coffee drinks of your own. And now that your retired why not start roasting your own coffee too. It's easy @ cheap to roast your own at home!

nice to have you here!

hi pinkrose, no one in the cafe spoke english well enough to understand what I meant, I'll persevere until I find out, stay young, JRD. Randy, I won't be going back to Casa so I'll have to do some research. JRD.
