Need advice on properly operating an Ambex YM-15.

Hey all,

Looking for some advice on properly operating an Ambex YM-15. I'm a novice w/ limited knowledge, teaching myself all that I can, but still encountering problems. I'm looking for someone with experience on the machine to contact me privately as to save everyone else from this banter. That being said, if you have advice that you can offer on the following topics, please feel free to chime in.

-Charge temperatures (what's appropriate) for 20-25lb batches

-Profiling Dynamics - charting appropriate points for Maillard reaction time, first crack

-Preset roast profiles, creating your own for light roasts

I know these are super broad, hence the desire for private convo. Not trying to waste anyone's time. I sincerely appreciate any and every response!

I didnt see where you are located, but post that and you may find some local members who can do some in person introduction.

Otherwise get some cheap coffee and start playing around.

Read the threads on roast profiling to get a clue for charge temp and managing airflow and you will get some insight to how to proceed.
