Hi,

I am no coffee expert but like my few cups of daily coffee.

While at a client I cam across an electrical frotther. The only writing on the machine was MadaCaf (no models, serials, etc). I include a photo of the machine. What really struck me is that it is efficient (you froth directly into the cup), easy to clean and can steam (acceptably) skimmed milk. It has a nozzle you fiddle that seems to control how much air works its way into the milk.

A google search for this machine let me to a shop in Italy. I called but the person at the other end told me he did not carry it. From what I could understand I don't know if he knew the machine existed.

I would really like to purchase one of these machines. Can anyone please guide me?

Well MadaCaf is an Italian brand. They also make espresso machines if I recall right.
Their site is in Italian, but if you find an email address that can be a start...just Google madacaf, that should be it.
Hope this helped.

thank you for the tip. Sadly italian my experience of italian businesses and internet connectivity is not the best. I've had email answered after 8 months (probably when an employee discovered that they had an email account they publish on the web).

I did perform a google search. I tried www <dot> madacaf <dot> com (BTW site doesn't work well with either IE or Firefox -- can't remeber). I emailed and after not getting an answer I phoned. No joy.

Does anyone here know of a machine with similar functionality as the one i saw?

You place the plastic tube directly into the milk carton and your mug under the outlet. Switch on the machine and the frotthing is done directly into the mug. At the end you pull out the tube from the milk. You can controll the level of frotthing by adjusting a little plastic nipple.

Cleaning is a repeat of the process this time with water.

Thank you
