milk frothing pitchers

good morning everyone! did you have your lovely morning cup yet? i have a question about milk frothing pitchers....i recieved one in a set that i'm not sure if its for milk frothing.It's ceramic....and i think it is just for the frothed milk to be put into.However, it looks exactly like a stainless steel one. Do the pitchers have to be stainless steel due to temperature? If so, I need to go but one and stop using the ceramic one.Thanks!

No problem, steam in it. The main reason for SS is that it can handle a espresso bar environment. I'd problably go through at least 144 ceramic pitchers a year.
