But I have no clue where to start! What equipment would I need? Im pretty new to coffee in general. Never drank much of it for 49 years and now for some reason, I'm loving it! Ive always been one to make my own stuff. I used to brew my own beer, make my own wine, and still make my own BBQ. I want to learn to roast my own coffee. Any websites that you can lead me to to teach me the ropes?

There is a lot of information on the internet but I would start with sweetmarias.com for a wealth of info and you can also buy green beans there. There are a couple of cheap Kindle books at Amazon that will give you an overview of roasting as well. One is even free for Prime members.
You can spend a lot or a little money on a roaster so you need to get a handle on your different options. I am just back from a 4-5 year hiatus from roasting coffee and waiting for my SR500 to get here. I'm looking for good fresh coffee for about half the price I currently pay for it.
I hope this helps, good luck!

You might want to take a look at SweetMarias.com, they've got a lot of home roasting stuff. I'm sure there are a couple of Sweet Marias competitors out there too who could hook you up with every home roasting gizmo known to man and that will fit your budget.
