Hi All,

Any thoughts on where everyone purchases their dairy products? Do you get it from a distributors, wholesale or at the local grocery store? I'm in Charlotte, NC and having trouble finding any on the internet. I've exhausted my searches and couldn't find any.

Thanks for any thoughts!

Logistics fo transporting dairy products that must remain refrigerated pretty much means local is the way to go, imo.

Do you have a local Sams Club or BJ's, etc? For example, it's easier to buy a case of Half and Half, or a bunch of gallons of milk from places like that than to constantly run out to a local grocery store.

If you need a large volume of dairy products, you can always find out where your local grocery store buys theirs and order directly from that distributor. Look for the name on their delivery trucks, if you're too shy to go in and ask them.

I used to get my dairy product from the distributor but their price are never cheap. Because of the lower volume we purchase at a time. I now purchase my milk from Krogers or Aldi whoever have it cheaper. The distributors charged me around 3.50 -3.85 per gallon and now I pay around 1.85-2.50per gallon and buy around 15 gallons per day. I normally purchase on my way in to work and drop them off and on the weekend, I purchase around 30 gallons on Saturday for Sat and Sun day sales. This works for me but you should find the way that works for you.
