Hi for All,

Which are better manual grinder or autuomatic
for commerical using? why? and what are the differences?

Would need a better definition as to what you consider auto and manual... and what grind method it would be used for.

With old school espresso grinders you have either option... for the auto version it's nothing more than a switch in the doser that senses the ground coffee level dropping and grinds automatically to keep the doser full. This could be helpful in a very busy setting. The manual version would be the barista clicking the switch ON/OFF.

Modern espresso grinders often utilize mechanical or digital timers that grind based on time. Simple, but effective... Of course grinding by weight is more precise, but also more challenging to incorporate/maintain consistency.

better quality automatic will give you even grind that would help brew evenly. This will give you very constant same taste of coffee. This will be harder to achieve by having manual grinder.

Explain... as there are many variables that determine grind quality and manual vs. automatic surely isn't one. Automatic grind/time control only ensures consistency to a degree, but not much else. You adjust more coarse and you end up with more coffee in a given time frame... more fine and you end up with less.

The problem with espresso these days is too many 'baristi' rely on automation and don't have a clue as to what each variable controls in the grand scheme of things. A really good barista will be able to find the sweet spot regardless of the coffee/changing variables involved and be able to do so consistently. The wannabes are the ones that push buttons and hope for the best.
