Hi All,
I am trying to improve my espresso brewing but am having difficulty as I have not yet developed taste bud for espresso.
It is difficult for me to tell if an espresso has been brewed correctly or not just by tasting it.
I would very much appreciate any feedback on my espresso shot.
You can watch my espresso brewing in the following link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bk_gc-x21PA
My Set Up:
Espresso Machine: Nuova Simonelli Appia II
Grinder: Mazzer Super Jolly Grinder
Bean Type: Veracruz and Chiapas Blend from Mexico
Weight of Coffee Ground: 18g
Brewing Time: 29 seconds
Final Espresso Volume: 60ml
I feel like my brew time is too long and that my shot becomes too watery near the end of the brew (I am using the preset button on my automatic machine).
Please advise how I should adjust my grind size, brew ratio, tamping etc to get a better shot of espresso.
I welcome any comments / criticisms.
Thanks in advance for your help.
