I am an Ethiopian coffee Exporter looking to expand my markets.

what country or state are you trying to import coffee into? are you doing green beans or roasted coffee? are your small market now or medium?

I think theirs great market for Ethiopian coffee depending on your beans.

Coffee is not a great commodity to market on your own.

As we know that Baltimore is importing more than 20 tons of coffee beans per month from Ethiopia. You better contact the importers by searching in the internet so that you can have direct negotiation.

You better negotiate also with any United States importer. You can have a good market because US is one of the rare countries that do not require a license to import. Thus, your coffee beans can have a higher value because of lesser expenses by the importer.

Just hoping you are aware of the worries of some coffee importers and roasters in the US regarding the new auction system in Ethiopia that makes them impossible to buy coffee from the particular farmers they want. You are better knowledgeable on this matter.

If you are dealing with importer or the US wholesalers, your profit margin would not be much higher then if you sold it in your country through your coop.

So, if you want to expend your profit margin, you should try to sell the beans with your own logo and company and sell directly to your end users like coffee shops or consumers which will not be easy.
