I just heard of the coffee bean that came from elephant instead of Luwak.
Anyone have any information on this?
I heard its coming from Thailand and they claim to be as good as "Kopi Luwak"
I haven't had that coffee yet so I can't give any opinions but I would like to find out about it.....
I did some google search and did find some pictures and few advertizement but nothing really about the taste or quality of the beans Also there is no info on sellers.
At least they can get large amount of coffee out of the elephant dung then Civet .... lol

Anyone???????

I have no idea why people pay top dollar for this marketing B.S. As you should know it's all about supply/demand more than quality itself. Funny thing is buyers/sellers don't have a clue as to what those animals are eating in conjunction with the coffee cherries.

There are LOTS of fantastic/smooth coffees to be had for much less than the price idiots pay for a wee bit of "crappy" coffee.

Shadow,

We all know this is also way to make living for some poor people in Thailand but mostly the marketing guy who came up with the idea will get the ultimate reward out of it.

But my curiosity is not the who is making money or losing out of it.
I want to know if someone has any idea how it taste compare to "Kopi Luwak"

I am just amazed with what people do to market their product....

I tried it - yummy - not too expensive at Joe's Coffee House -

Joe's Coffee

their Aged Indian is awesome also

Just re-read this post .... we are not talking about the same thing....but this coffee is really good.....

Hi "CupHalfFull"

Obviously, the elephant bean coffee that you're referring to isn't the same coffee that CoffeeJunky is asking about.

Do you work for Joe's coffee? I'm getting the impression that it's very possible that you do.
