East Coast Training

I am on the East Coast and would love to attend barista and/or roasting training. I have noticed that there are schools in the Oregon area, but I am having trouble arranging for time off to get out there for the training. I am still at my day job, until we get closer to opening.

Also, I would love any recommendations of suppliers in the area.

Coffee Culture in Durham NC does Barista and Business training. There is also a guy starting a training school in Charlotte. Not sure where you are on the East Coast, but those two that I know off the top.

I think John means Counter Culture Coffee, a top notch coffee roaster, and probably have very good training. But I don't know if they do roasting training. Coffee Lab International in Vermont have week long cupping and roasting classes and I highly recommend them. I also know of one guy in Massachusetts who just sold his shop, He did some consulting before. I am not sure if he is still doing consulting, but if you want I can ask for you. His coffee knowledge is amazing.
