Descaling

so yesterday my breville BDC550XL descale lights starts blinking, ok i descale it, had too do it twice for some reason before the descale light would go out, but what i cant figure is why it came on, i have a good size pryolox iron filter then a water softener and then reverse osmosis, so i cant see how the machine would get any scale in it.
