I rinsed out my nespresso machine today with water by running the machine without a capsule in it. In the cup I noticed some brown/black specs floating in the water. Just wondering if it would be normal for some residual coffee grounds to end up in plain water this way or might this be a problem with the machine? If they are coffee grounds then I do not really mind it (I don't notice it affecting taste) but I am also worried the specs could be some type of corrosion. Anyone ever encounter a similar situation? Would there be a way for me to find out what the particles are? I am assuming it could also apply to regular espresso machines.
