coffee meetup

Hi I am new to his site and have roasted a few beans under primitive conditions (a popcorn popper with a stirring blade and heavy copper bottom). I use a heat gun to detect the temperature. Anyway I was wondering if anyone has tried a coffee roasting meetup in their area. Meet Ups are posted on a web site (meetup.com) where nearby people with the same hobby or interest get together, usually once a month, and share ideas. Perhaps in the case of a coffee roasting meetup they could bring in samples of their beans or coffee for sampling, share techniques and problems. I belong to several meetups and they are fun and informing.
