Hey fellow coffee lovers,
I am about to buy my first espresso machine (most likely the Rancilio Silvia V6), however, I have a big concern that keeps me from buying. I live more or less at the ocean (<1 km) and I am wondering how the humidity and salty air affects the machine (case/steel) in terms of rust. It may sound odd, but whoever has lived at the ocean knows that basically almost everything starts to rust at some point – even when it is stainless steel. So I am wondering if anyone has any experience in these conditions as I don’t want to invest so much money and eventually the beautiful machine will be full of rusty spots?
