Best Reference/Site to learn which roasted beans are "In Season"?

Hello, Wow! So many sites pushing so many beans.? There isn't really a local roaster in this area. What would you coffee experts recommend as a reliable source of the seasonally/monthly freshest roasted beans? Are there any hands down favorites?We'd like to get beans that are in season for that particular month and we're not smart enough to read harvest charts intelligently. For example, we just received an email pushing a terrific Amazon coffee originating in Peru. Is this the time of year to enjoy the latest Peruvian harvest? Help please and thank you very much.

Great idea, to think about harvest time. Green coffee, however, doesn't start to lose flavor generally speaking for about a year. So the time of harvest is not as important with coffee as it is with, let's say, apples.
To help you in your quest for knowledge, though, a general rule of thumb is this: if the coffee is grown north of the equator, it is shipped in spring (now), and if it is grown south of the equator, it is shipped in fall. We have a coffee harvest schedule on our site, and Sweet Maria's website is a never-ending wealth of coffee knowledge.
If you want to buy some beans from our website, my personal favorite right now is the Rwanda Ruli Mountain...awesome, and even more awesome that the little, land-locked, war-torn country can produce such great quality coffee.

I think you usually can't go wrong with coffee beans from peru. Just ensure to do your due dillence and make sure the pricing is reasonable.
