The topic about painting with coffee brought this bit of historical trivia back to mind. My recollection is from the mid 1950's in the deep south. Ladies customarily wore white gloves to church. There was a fad, I do not know how widespread it was or how long it lasted, of dying those gloves with coffee. At the time, it may have even been considered improper or a bit scandalous. Does anybody else have any memory of this?
