acne and coffee

Who knows about the effect of coffee on acne? I have been an avid coffee drinker since my teenage years and also suffer from relentless acne breakouts.

Could this be related? Do you know any proves?

What I have heard is that acne is a stress response. Coffee, or really caffeine, can induce a similar stress response and the resultant breakouts.

My recommendation is that you take up pipe smoking. It reduces stress which would reduce stress response, and also a good pipe goes well with a good cup of coffee.

Honestly, I don't know because I fell in love with coffee last year and around that time I cured my acne. Back then, I bought a lot of medicated foams, creams and various skin care products on Canada Drugs. It was difficult, but I managed to cope with this problem. Now I have another problem - addiction to coffee!
