1957 GAGGIA COMMERCIAL 2 GROUP (MODEL.AMERICA)

i,ve got this machine here just about rebuilt now i,m at the groups and have found fibre type washers inside acting as seal piston to body of groups along with cast sleeve. anyone aware of a convertion for this as im not sure it,s extracting properly coffee seems burnt and over extracted. any clues drawings, parts source would be helpful. probably need someone with experience on working on heavy gaggia manual levers thanks in advance

I would try contacting the techies at the factory direct. I dont know about Gaggia, but CMA have like a museum of machines that they have built over the years- and the technicians are pretty passionate about helping out on the older machines. The only problem is a group of masked men, in black suits (speaking Italian not Alien linggo guys), might burst in and whisk away your machine... I am sure its a collectors dream to own a lever machine built in the 1950's!
