It is proprietary software and Cimbali will not authorize a non importer/distributor to have access to it for the reason you are seeking. Bypassing their authorized service providers to provide cheaper service is not in Cimbali's interest.
Good luck at finding it. If you do, don't post it...
Last I checked they were still Thermoplans US distributor for Starbucks. All their Black and White units are based off the Starbucks unit with modifications so they don't infringe on Starbucks proprietary equipment.
SSR's die all the time. Telling someone that it will never break again is a big understatement. Funny thing about SSR's is most of them don't tell you they have a latching life expectancy even though they have no moving parts.
Kopi is okay, for me it reminded me a lot of Toddy coffee. I guess I don't care for what fermentation does to the bean. Sadly most of that knock off stuff is down right disgusting and you don't get the same results mixing beans and poop together.
I wanted to say thank you to all my friends that I've made on here through out the years. I may have stepped down from Admin/Moderator to be a normal user again but I haven't left. I had a wonderful time helping the site but now its time to hand over my responsibilities to someone else. I hope...
That might not work for him as some Cimbali's use a different portafilter. There are a few out there that have a square bottom where the spout is connected and have 2 screws that hold it on.
Might I suggest you talk to Alun_Evans. I've found most people who peddle this stuff are actually pushing faked product. Now if Alun was selling it by the pound I would buy without taking a second to think twice about such a deal.

Has anyone tried to do a aftermarket PID to a commercial roaster? Our Probat L12 has a Watlow SD Limit and I know the SD series is in the same family with their PID. I talked with a Watlow distributor and he said it was very doable.
I know I would need a PID and thermocouple. Should I consider...
The swift grinder is nice but over kill. A new Mazzer Super Jolly runs around $500 - $800 on the net. The few seconds you save with an autoginder/tamper in my mind doesn't warrant spending an additional $3,000.
As for used, most of the La Marzocco's you see on Ebay are most likely an old...
I felt it was my civic duty to slap a Coffee Forums link on Wikipedia under Espresso. But I couldn't explain crap if it fell out of the sky. So check it out and please write a better description for me! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Espresso
Just sitting here enjoying the last of my Hickory Farms beef stick and drinking my morning espresso. Just wishing everyone else out there a Merrry Christmas!
If you haven't heard in the news there’s a coffeehouse in El Paso having trouble with Starbucks patrons using their free wireless (Jamocha's) in Starbucks store. Here's the original story post http://www.kvia.com/Global/story.asp?S=3937525.
I'm not ranting about this but rather offering a...
