Great idea, CCafe! I will keep an eye on this section, for good deals and promotions, on such things as fresh roasted gourmet coffees, coffee machines, french presses, and the like. We may even find some quality biscotti to go with our coffee each and every morning, in here. :-)
~ Edit:
Chuck Norris grinds his coffee with his teeth and boils the water with his own rage.
I couldn't resist that one. There's a million things that Chuck Norris can do, but that was one of my faves and somewhat appropriate for this forum.
Which reminds me, how about some coffee jokes...
I'm serving coffee from an air pot at a local farmers market and so far, very few have questioned my not providing creams, half n half, sugar, splenda, etc. I usually tell them we don't offer those, that the coffee is fresh roasted locally and is an excellent complement to our biscotti products...

More and more, when I call in an order for supplies, my vendors are telling me they don’t accept credit cards anymore. They request I either send payment by check or I pay COD by cash or check. Now, I'm beginning to see why...
I figured by accepting credit cards, it’s a clean form of payment...

Looking for an espresso tamper, but none of my local home goods type stores have them. The least expensive tamper I've found on the internet is this one from thekitchenstore.com:
Looks like a dumbell for a smurf, LOL.
Would like something unique & different, but not spend $30 on it (plus...
I like an occasional iced coffee bev at a McD's or Dunkin Do's, better yet BK's mocha Joe... :D
Okay, so boo's aside, what the heck is McD's putting in their vanilla iced coffee that makes it taste like medicine? Yesterday was the first time I tried it and I immediately thought, I didn't...
I've found some roasters online, offering Malabar and prices range between $6 per pound (with wholesale account) to $15 per pound.
My usual roasters currently do not offer Indian Monsooned Malabar as a single origin, only in blends.
Any suggestions?
Will we ever get any concrete evidence that points to the health benefits of caffeine?
Millions of dollars spent on research and all we keep getting are countless, inconclusive results.
May be, could be, possibly, but wait, let's also throw in a disclaimer, so no one thinks we're
advocating...

Anyone see the How It's Made episode last evening on the Science Channel?
"Coffee" had a ten minute spot and they used the Cafe Britt plantation(?) for the show. From transplanting the little seedlings to pulling espresso shots and everything in between.

I beat Topher to it this year!
So, as I sit here on January 1st, in the new year of 2009, with my Niagra Falls mug of my favorite Sumatran, coffee that is, I was inspired to come in here and wish everyone a good year. If it's not full of the things that money can buy, well then, let's take...
I received this Monsooned Malabar yesterday from omegapd (thanks man!), that he got from a home roaster buddy of his. The beans looked and smelled good enough to eat, right out of the bag. I couldn’t wait to get home to grind some up.
Usually when I get home in the evening, I have a cup of...
Just received a kilogram of Ecuadorian coffee from my ex wife.
It's finely ground, almost turkish ground and came triple bagged.
The outer bag reads:
"El Cafetal" Cafe de Zaruma (Coffee of Zaruma, Ecuador)
El Mejor De Mundo (The best of the world)
This is not a review. It's a plea for someone...

Some coffee cherries would be nice, just thought I'd mention it...
At the risk of being shunned by those of you who think coffee is just for espresso machines, I have a question:
I'm considering switching the type of coffee we use in some of our baked goods, from a turkish ground "espresso blend" (whatever's in that) to something even bolder, say a Sumatran...
Temporarily, I’ve resorted back to instant coffee at work. I use a manual grinder and have been slacking off due to new developments at home.
Now, aside from the obvious taste difference, I have to say there is another major difference I’ve been noticing lately. I’ve been feeling especially...
Since "the other" website design company messed up my website, I've had to go
about redesigning my own. Here's where I'm at now, with nine pages and counting:

As much as I love/need/desire coffee, I also enjoy anything with chocolate, as I'm sure many of you do as well.
I can't seem to find a decent chocolate discussion forum. There are a few out there, but who wants to hear about how one eats her twix bar one layer at a time?
I mean serious stuff...
