Update on the search for a cheapo espresso machine: My wife did some searching and introduced me to the Bialetti Moka pot. It's amazing, cheaper than any espresso machine, and my new fave. Thanks for all the suggestions here.

I went even more low end and ordered a Bialetta moka pot. We'll see how this goes, stay tuned.

Our Via Venezia just made a loud pop sound over the weekend, then water started to leak. I tried it the next day and steam came out of the machine when the water heated up. Both have never happened before. I'm not a coffee machine mechanic. Wondering if it's fixable or should I be looking for...
