I know, I know - everybody wants a good deal! I need a good deal on a 1 lb sample roaster. Please message me if you have something.
Thank you,

Assume I created and marketed a new line and have so much demand I can’t possibly keep up. Where does one look to purchase good ground coffee that cups good at a reasonable cost? Is that possible?
I'm roasting some pretty good beans these days, as I've come up with a procedure that seems to work across different origins and the like. Nevertheless, I'm perplexed about my ROR curve. The time / temp curve follows the Scott Rao desired slowly declining ROR, but looking at the curve (ROR...
Agree. But that's what it is. Strange to me. Recently I started roasting our own coffee for our 3 coffee shop locations and it doesn't matter whether or not it's my beans or beans from a professional roaster I use to buy from - either way it's the same. Coffee is not as strong when using...
I purchased and installed a new thermocouple inside the bean-mass area of my IR-7. It's physically only a inch or two away from the one that's in the machine (not sure if original or it's diameter). The funny thing is that when I start roasting the drop temperature reads about the same on...
Nice; and thank you for your response. May I ask how many pounds you sell a month, or, maybe the question is at what point in sales would you think a $4000.00 printer is a good financial choice?
I have to use almost twice as much of grounds of my roasted coffee (or another roaster I buy from) to get the same thickness of brewed coffee than the Foldgers Classic Roast coffee. If you look at the grind size, the "Foldgers" even seems to be larger in particle size?
I'm stumped.
A side note of this. I recently worked on a roast curve I thought would produce a good roast, and I managed to follow that curve closely roasting a Costa Rica micro offering (10 lb roast) and was happy to taste a wonderful cup of coffee with full body, long lasting after-notes and very aromatic...
Well that is a good question! I don't know is the answer!! I would assume from the beginning (that is where I am... the beginning in this area and this line of coffee) I will sell very little. I am hoping that within a year I'm selling 500 lbs a month (more or less) - only a guess. I was...
I'm looking for ideas for a label printer so I can place; say, 4" round labels on the 5 lb coffee bags I sell. Currently using a local printer, but I think I can do better if I print my own. Ideas? Suggestions?
Looking for sample roast curve for high density bean on Diedrich ir 7 roasting 10 lb batch? I’m having trouble with body in my roasts . Say a medium roast.
I'm a new roaster. I've roasted some beans from Brazil (natural processed) and finding I can't seem to get a full body roast from these beans. Is it me or is it possible some beans just can't produce a full body taste? I've tried medium and dark roast and different roast profiles without...
I'm building and business plan to start a small coffee shop. I'm new to all of this so I'm all ears and appreciate all help I can get. I've found the above referenced machine on Amazon new for around $1200.00. Wondering if it's a good brand and will it hold up being used for a drive up window...
